Um diese Prozesse erfolgreich zu bew\u00e4ltigen, sind erheblich h\u00f6here Investitionsanstrengungen als bislang notwendig.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><strong>Digitalisierung und Industrie 4.0<\/strong><\/strong>: Gegenw\u00e4rtig rangiert Deutschland bei der Anwendung digitaler Technologien in der Wirtschaft im EU-Vergleich bestenfalls im Mittelfeld<sup>1<\/sup>. Die deutsche Industrie muss in digitale Technologien und Automatisierung investieren, um wettbewerbsf\u00e4hig zu bleiben. Doch um zu vergleichbaren L\u00e4ndern aufzuschlie\u00dfen, m\u00fcssten sich die IT- und Digitalisierungsinvestitionen in Deutschland von 49 Mrd. EUR auf 100 bis 150 Mrd. EUR j\u00e4hrlich verdoppeln bis verdreifachen. Allein im Mittelstand m\u00fcssten die Digitalisierungsausgaben von 18 Mrd. EUR im Jahr 2019 auf 35 bis 50 Mrd. EUR pro Jahr zunehmen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><strong>Nachhaltigkeit und Umweltschutz<\/strong><\/strong>: Unternehmen setzen vermehrt auf umweltfreundliche Technologien und Prozesse, um Nachhaltigkeitsziele zu erreichen und die Umweltauswirkungen zu reduzieren. Diese Investitionen dienen nicht nur dem Umweltschutz, sondern tragen auch zur langfristigen Wettbewerbsf\u00e4higkeit bei. So beziffert eine aktuelle Studie im Auftrag der KfW die notwendigen Klimaschutzinvestitionen zur Erreichung des Ziels der Klimaneutralit\u00e4t bis zum Jahr 2050 auf rund 5 Bio. EUR oder rund 190 Mrd. EUR j\u00e4hrlich<sup>1<\/sup>. Diese gewaltige Summe macht deutlich, dass zur Zielerreichung erheblich h\u00f6here Anstrengungen als bislang notwendig sein werden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a
